EVVY SHAPERO, MA
Evvy Shapero received her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. She has been in the field of Neurofeedback for more than sixteen years and has been affiliated with EEG Institute where almost since the beginning of its existence. Evvy has been training adults and children in her private practice for the past twelve years. She creates an atmosphere of a genuine concern and warmth toward her clients. Together they create a treatment plan based on individual needs. Her practice specializes in chronic pain and pain management, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, migraines, PTSD, obsessive compulsive disorder and panic disorder.
Evvy has been a team member for the Comprehensive Pain Management Program affiliated with UCLA since 2006. She has had advanced training in EEG Biofeedback and Stress Management. Evvy is also a certified clinical hypnotherapist, specializing in weight loss and anxiety. She also teaches Alpha/Theta practicums at EEG Institute.
GIVING BACK
Evvy also volunteers her time for Glamour Project. Glamour Project, founded by Kara Fox and Evvy Shapero, is a non-profit 502(c)(3) dedicated to improving the lives of the disadvantaged women through kindness, compassion, and photography! Their studio...homeless shelters throughout the Los Angeles area; their subjects...those who have suffered great loss. We arrive at shelters with make-up and props in hand for an afternoon of what best can be described as the girlish pastime of "dressing up." Each participant gets a make-up application, fashion styling, and her "glamour shot" as a gift - a heart-felt reminder that she is acknowledged and cared for, despite her current circumstance.
